[style=padding-top: 10px; padding-left: 5px; padding-right: 5px; height: 200px; width: 448px; overflow: auto; font-size: 10px; font-family: arial; text-align: justify]in 2018 the united states was in chaos. the dramatic gap between the working class and the rich had grown, the air had become putrid with pollution, and landfills were always in sight. something had to change – something was going to change. the resistance. the resistance protested and tried to close the gap between them and the wealthy. first their protests were peaceful but eventually their patience was worn thin and many of the younger working class had none to begin with. men and women of importance begin to disappear or end up assassinated. buildings and homes were looted and burned to the ground. troops were brought in and hundreds of lives were lost. it was called the homeland war. and once both sides grew weak and tired the ones who were still left with the means to do so started construction on utopia. it would be a peaceful place. it would be a prosperous place. yet its greatest ambition would be that it was to be built over the top of the old. many states were covered in shadow as the great construct started to take shape. it was built along the east coast and many tried to stop it. but there were also enough to keep anyone from stopping it. eventually utopia stood on thousands of towers and seemed to disappear into the clouds. the only way to reach the great city was with aircraft and even then its walls were heavily guarded. and now it has been twenty-five years since the homeland war. in 2065 things do not seem ready to change... at least, not from the perch that utopia sits on. the resistance is rising up once again. |
